Although BTS has temporarily stopped promoting the group to focus on individual projects, the new compilation album still made a miracle on the Billboard chart.
Recently, Billboard has announced the list of albums that reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart this week. In it, K-Pop fans are extremely proud to once again see BTS’s name on this chart.
Specifically, BTS’ compilation album Proof is at number 17 on the Billboard 200 chart this week, down 4 places from 13th place last week. However, it is worth noting that this is the 4th week in a row that this album has been on the Billboard 200 chart, although the group has stopped promoting group activities to focus on developing separate individual projects.
Besides the Billboard 200 chart, Proof also showed his class when topping the World Albums chart this week and ranked 5th on the Top Album Sales chart. This shows that the group’s charm has never cooled down even if the group has temporarily stopped working.
Not only have group achievements, BTS members are also bringing in personal achievements after starting with solo projects. Jungkook’s song “Left And Right” featuring American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth is currently charting at number 47 for the second consecutive week on the Billboard Hot 100. Another BTS member is J-Hope. with the debut solo song in his career titled “More” also debuted at number 82 on this chart. This is the opening song for the male idol’s solo album “Jack in the Box”.
Although it has been announced to suspend group activities, BTS will still hold a concert in Busan (Korea) next October. This show is held in support of Korea’s World Expo in 2030 and is a collaboration between parent company Hybe, Busan and the bidding committee. As such, this will probably be BTS’s first performance as a group in Korea since last March, when the group held the Permission to Dance on Stage concert in Seoul.
