On June 24, Busan city established a strategic partnership with BTS’ management company HYBE Labels to promote the event Busan World Expo 2030.
Accordingly, BTS has been officially appointed as the ambassador of Busan World Expo 2030 and will hold a global concert in Busan, inviting fans from all over the world to attend.
In addition, BTS also participated in talks with ambassadors from many member countries of Bureau International des Expositions (BIE). BIE leaders will gather in Busan sometime in early 2023 ahead of Busan World Expo 2030.
Meanwhile, the BTS members are expected to act as guides for the visiting officials, while also fulfilling the role of promotional ambassadors during the BIE member’s conference.
Furthermore, HYBE Labels intends to participate in various cultural projects launched by the city of Busan, establishing a close partnership with the city for the advancement of cultural content.
Before this information, many ARMYs were surprised because the company had previously announced the suspension of BTS group activities. If holding a concert in 2023, there will likely be a shortage of member Jin (expected to enlist at the end of this year).
“The concert in the beginning of 2023? So without Jin, will he join the army or…” – one netizen expressed.
Another ARMY wrote: “What’s wrong HYBE… I thought they were taking a break.”
