BTS’ RM shared his honest feelings about what the BTS members really mean to him and how he feels when he comes to terms with everything on his own.

The members have grown together and gone through good times and bad times together.

Their latest album, Proof, is aptly named because it’s truly proof of how far they’ve come together.
In an interview with Weverse Magazine, Jin talked about how, by prioritizing the group above all else, the members have sacrificed their individual needs over the past 9 years. And in doing so, BTS was able to reach unprecedented heights.

“I’m grateful that they all made certain personal sacrifices to better fit the needs of the group and I think Namjoon is amazing at the job he’s done to coordinate everything and everyone”– Jin.
RM himself shared that he thinks BTS has given unique performances and wowed everyone in many creative ways, but now it’s time for the team to go beyond just “amazing people”. and start thinking about what messages they really want to send.

After prioritizing the team so much, perhaps one way to do this is to learn about their individual strengths, but that’s not always easy.
Speaking to Weverse Magazine, RM spoke candidly about his feelings dealing with himself and, therefore, how much the members really mean to him.

Journalist Myungseok Kang came up with the song Young Forever (RM Demo Ver.). From Proof, questions what the thought process behind it is and suggests it’s like something very personal to RM.
“One of the songs on Proof is Young Forever (RM Demo Ver.)”. Unlike in the final version, the tune here is like something from your mono mixtape. It feels like you’re discovering your personal depth and maybe that represents an accumulation of valuable thoughts over the course of 6 years,” asked Myungseok Kang.

RM admits this and says, “I’m sure I have some things to say but I never seem to be able to do it.”

RM then further explained that since he’s achieved it all with his members, he’s “not really confident about the things I have to deal with on my own”.
“All I ever had when I was part of this group was something I would never have had if I was on my own, so I’m not really confident about the things I have to deal with on my own.” – RM.

To RM, the members are like his comfort zone, especially after all they’ve been through together. They are family.
“So I need to think about my life being myself and being a part of BTS. BTS is a family for my. We are together during the study period and we have to face together those who are happy and those who are sad. I need to think about what we need to do during that time.” – RM

BTS has always stood by each other through all the hardships and they will continue to be together as a family, especially as they take the time to watch each other grow.

While the other members still have a hard time dealing with things on their own, drawing on their individual strengths will only make the group stronger than ever.
