Accumulated data from “Google Trends” shows that V (Kim Taehyung) is the most searched K-pop idol in the history of Google – the world’s largest search engine.

Comparing data from 2013-2022, BTS’s debut year with the current year, shows that V was the most searched member before BTS’ global success and that popularity continues to this day.

Following V are bandmates Jungkook in 2nd place and Jimin in 3rd place.

Many publications have also ranked V as the most popular idol of 2022. Pop culture entertainment website Otakusmart has selected V as the most popular global K-pop idol for the second year in a row.

Their ranking is based on Google searches, Instagram followers, Guinness World Records… They even hailed him as “Korea’s Diamond Vocalist”.

JagranTV, an entertainment publication by Jagran News with India’s 2nd largest daily circulation, posted about the “Top 10 Most Famous K-Pop Idols in the World” and Taehyung was once again ranked #1.
